iPhone 13 Pro appears in rendered images that shows reduced notch

After a season of speculation about the iPhone 13 lineup, which is expected to launch in the second half of this year to replace the four phones in the iPhone 12 series, we finally have access to some of the first renders of Apple’s upcoming high-end smartphones.

One detail that has been the subject of much comment is Apple’s ability to reduce the notch – that is, the indentation – on the mobile screen. Now, recently released images confirm this change and show how the iPhone 13 Pro will look with this feature.

Another subtle difference between the iPhone 13 Pro and its immediate predecessor, the iPhone 12 Pro, can be seen in the images. While the design of the device remains very similar, we can see that the module that houses the rear lenses is slightly larger than the one we already know from Cupertino’s current line of high-end phones.

And as for the cameras, the visual configuration remains the same, despite the perceived difference in size. In other words, the traditional hobo look as seen earlier on the devices has been retained, the three camera sensors at the back are arranged in a triangle, and the kit is completed with a LiDAR sensor and LED flash.

This reduction in size of the rear module could indicate that Apple is working on even larger lenses for the camera.

Sources have also revealed, along with the images provided, some alleged specifications of the phone. Like its predecessor, the iPhone 13 Pro will have a 6.1-inch display. The smartphone will measure 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.6 mm – slightly larger than the iPhone 12 Pro, which could indicate that the company is incorporating a more generous battery into the model.

The change in the size of the notch, as shown in the image, is due to a slight repositioning of the components. While the iPhone 12 series has the speaker in line with the front camera and FaceID sensor, the upcoming phone has decided to place the audio output through the camera lens.

Other earlier speculations about the iPhone 13 suggest that the phone will have a 120Hz refresh rate panel in the Pro and Pro Max variants, and that all models will still have add-ons for a wide-angle sensor and up to 1TB of internal storage.

Apple is expected to unveil its new high-end phones in the third quarter of this year, in September.

iPhone 13 Pro: Concept shows what Apple’s future phone could look like.

Concepts are used to show what a product that is not yet on the market will look like, based on ideas or rumours from experts. Today, concept photos and videos of the iPhone 13 Pro were released, showing what the phone could look like.

The designs were made at LetsGoDigital in cooperation with the graphic designer Technizo Concept. The images were based on standard assumptions for Apple’s upcoming smartphone. Watch the video below:

As you can see, the look has some similarities to the iPhone 12 Pro. Common features include an array with three cameras, a LiDAR sensor, and straight metal sides.

However, the rear lenses will now sit under a single piece of sapphire, with a similar look to the Google Pixel 5. That is, nothing on the baking sheet looks like individual bouncing circles.

The concept also confirms that the Cupertino giant will do away with wire charging altogether in the future, when it introduces the MagSafe standard. This in turn creates water and dust tightness.

The trend is that the device has an AMOLED display that offers an adaptive refresh rate with a maximum frequency of 120 Hz. The concept also includes the installation of a biometric reader under the screen.

The iPhone 13 Pro – like the other models in the Apple family – is not expected to hit the market until the second half of 2024.
