You need to configure Minecraft to use a dedicated GPU instead of Intel by default. Please follow the steps below.
How do I create Minecraft with a dedicated GPU?
1. Select NVIDIA GPU
- Right-click on your desktop and select the NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Select Manage 3D Settings on the left side of the window.
- To select NVIDIA GPUs for all games, select the NVIDIA High Performance Processor in the Global Settings tab.
- To select an NVIDIA GPU specifically for Minecraft, click the Program Settings tab.
- Click on the Add button.
- In the Add window, click the Browse button.
- Then in the Add window, open the Minecraft folder.
- Open a subfolder of the Minecraft Trash that may be in this default path: C:Program Files (x86)Minecraftruntimejre-x641.8.0_25bin.
- Select Javaw.exe from the trash can.
- Then click on the Open option.
- After selecting the path for Javaw.exe, click the Select Preferred Graphics Card for this program drop-down menu.
- Select the NVIDIA High Performance Processor option.
- Click on the Apply button.
Pay attention: Users of NVIDIA notebooks can also select the NVIDIA High Performance CPU option from the context menu. Right-click on the Minecraft icon to open the context menu.
Why do I need a GPU scale?
Then select the NVIDIA high performance processor from the Start with GPU submenu of the context menu.
2. Select AMDGPU
- Minecraft players with AMD GPUs should right-click on the desktop and select AMD Radeon settings.
- Then click on the System tab.
- Click on the Switching Chart tab.
- Select the Installed profile applications option to get an overview of the installed software.
- Click the Browse button to select Javaw.exe for Minecraft.
- Click on Javaw.exe and select High Performance for Discrete GPU.
3. Select a powerful graphics processor with parameters.
- Go to the Windows search bar.
- Then enter the keyword graph parameters in the search field.
- Click the Graphics Settings button to open the Settings window, as shown in the figure below.
- Select the universal application if you purchased Minecraft from the MS Store.
- Click the Select Application menu to select Minecraft.
- Click on Options for Minecraft.
- Select a strong radio button.
- Click on the Save button.
This allows you to configure Minecraft to use a discrete GPU instead of a built-in alternative. Then you’ll get better graphical performance for Minecraft as you play.
You can also adjust the dual graphics settings of the GPU, which are very similar to those of other games.
